8-hour HAZWOPER First Responder Awareness and
Annual Refresher Training

This course is an optional preparation for the CHMM Exam Preparation course. It is a one-day course that provides you with the technical knowledge required to perform the HAZWOPER First Responder Awareness competency level under 29 CFR 1910.120(q). It also addresses all of the competencies for NFPA 472, Chapter 2: Competencies for the First Responder Awareness Level.

Certified Hazardous Materials (CHMM/CHMP) Exam Preparation Course

The need for professional-level certification for engineers and technicians who are involved with hazardous materials grows daily. This course is designed as a review for the CHMM and CHMP exams and is not intended to replace technical background and experience required for certification. Course completion will give you confidence in complying with health, safety and environmental issues.

Tuition fee: $499 plus $100 non-refundable registration fee.

Cancellations for this course must be made two weeks prior to the exam date for a refund of the tuition fee.

If FAU must cancel the course for any reason, it will e done two weeks prior to the exam date and a full refund will be issued including the registration fee.

It is highly recommended that students have a lap top computer for use in the class.

CHMM Exam

Candidates who wish to take the CHMM examination must apply directly to IHMM. The exam is offered via computer-based testing (CBT) throughout the country including FAU. When your application has been approved, IHMM will inform you how to register.
