A
message from the Indoor Air Quality Council
The
IAQ marketplace is saturated with certifications.
Unfortunately,
most are offered by "Certification Mills": organizations that do little
more than present courses, collect fees and administer simple tests.
These
certifications provide little value to certificants, their clients or the public:
Because
they don't require field experience, they can't provide the customer with assurance
of the certificant's abilities and expertise.
Because
they aren't based upon verifiable documentation, they can't protect the certificant
from legal challenges to his professional reputation.
Because
they aren't recognized by independent accreditation bodies, they can't provide
what the certificant needs most: respect in the marketplace.
Credentials
from "Certification Mills" may look like an asset on paper; but once
they are challenged, they become a grave liability to the certificate holder.
Professionals
and consumers alike should know what makes the IAQ Council different.
Your
American Indoor Air Quality Council certification represents a level of professionalism
unmatched by others in the IAQ industry.
